Monteverde Bat Jungle
With an exhibit of 85 live bats, the tour is educational, entertaining and focused on biology and conservation. It's managed by Dr. Richard LaVa (bat biologist and author). Tours are available from 9:00am to 8:00pm. The last one starts at 7:30pm.
Frogs Pond
At the "Ranario" in Monteverde you can see over 20 species of frogs such as the Red Eyed Tree Frog and other amphibians of Costa Rica. Learn the role the frogs play in the natural world and support the conservation.
Butterfly garden
The Monteverde Butterfly Garden or "Mariposario" is one of the most visited attractions in Monteverde. You can admire and learn about butterflies, spiders and insects from all over the area. Tours take about 1 hour and 15 minutes and the garden opens everyday from 9:30AM to 4:00PM.
